Course Description:
Construction Trades - LEED (CTL) has been designed to teach students the basics in residential construction using environmentally friendly (green build) and Energy Star® features. Using U.S. Green Building Council guidelines, students will build the house from the ground up focusing on environmental performance in categories such as site choice and preparation, energy and water use, building and finishing materials, quality of indoor air, and the skills and knowledge necessary to build a LEED certified home.
*Enrollment for Construction Trades LEED is recommended for returning seniors from our Habitat for Humanity home build or seniors who have not been able to dedicate two years to the construction program.
