Course Description:

The Early Childhood Development program prepares students for employment in educational, residential, and institutional child care facilities and programs. In addition to a core of foundation skills that are common to the Human Services pathway, our program includes instruction in child growth and development; child health, nutrition, and safety; planning and supervision of developmentally appropriate play and learning activities; child guidance; relationships with family members; applicable legal and administrative requirements; and preparation for the development and management of effective early childhood programs and facilities
