Room Set-Up
The staff will set up AV equipment, and arrange tables, chairs, lectern and any other furnishings requested in advance. Set-up details must be confirmed 7 days prior to the event.Audio-Visual and Other Equipment
The Great Lakes Conference Center combines the Lake Michigan, Lake Superior and Lake Huron Rooms.
- The Great Lakes Center is equipped with wall-mounted screens, ceiling mounted projectors, a DVD/VCR player and surround sound, all computer controlled. A lectern with stationary microphone or a lavaliere microphone may be used in this configuration
- The Great Lakes Center includes 3 individual conference rooms, Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, and Lake Huron.
- All Lakes rooms and the Lakeshore Learning Lab are equipped to receive satellite downlink teleconferences. Additional information on this service is available from the Technology Department at 231-767-7230.
- The Dunes Conference Room is equipped with a white board, ceiling-mounted projector, screen, with cable TV access, computer-controlled. A small kitchenette adjoins this room.
- The Rivers and White Pines, are smaller meeting areas that are ideal for small groups and committee meetings. Each is equipped with a white board.
- The Lighthouse PC Lab is equipped with 20 Windows stations and a teacher station with a ceiling-mounted projector and computer, and black/white laser printer.
- The adjoining Lakeshore Learning Lab can accommodate 20 guests. Distance learning equipment resides in this room - pad camera, CODEC unit, large screen TV - but can be moved to the other conference rooms as needed.
Supplies for the conference center (easel pads and markers, white board markers and erasers) are the responsibility of the sponsor.
