Special Needs and Special Education

Head Start works very closely with the local school district's special education department. A process is followed for children who appear to need extra support. Speech and language therapists are available in the Head Start classroom through the special education department for any student that tests below certain levels. The Head Start classroom prides itself on being all-inclusive and is prepared to make any accommodations that are necessary to include children with single or multiple disabilities.
