Adult Education Programs at the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center
Linked Muskegon is a FREE, 18-week adult education and training program developed to meet the need for skilled workers in today’s work-place environment. The program is a collaboration between local employers, adult education programs, the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center, and West Michigan Works!
Linked Muskegon offers a direct path to job skills, a high school diploma or GED, and an entry level position within the local manufacturing or health industry. Students will not only receive hands-on training on the most current high-tech equipment, but will also develop employability skills like communication, professionalism, and dependability. Those who successfully complete the program will meet face-to-face with employers who are eager to hire!

This 18-week program meets weeknights from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center located at 200 Harvey Street, on the corner of Harvey and Stebbins, in Muskegon.
Topics Covered: Precision Measuring Instruments, Hand Tools and Saws, Lathe (Facing, Turning, Knurling, Drilling, Tapping), Mill (Facing, Squaring, Drilling, Tapping), CNC machining (G&M Code Programming)
Welding
This 18-week program meets weeknights from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center located at 200 Harvey Street, on the corner of Harvey and Stebbins, in Muskegon.
Topics Covered: Welding Shop Safety, Measuring Tools, Hand Tools, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and Oxy-fuel and Plasma Cutting.
Health
This 18-week program meets weeknights from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center located at 200 Harvey Street, on the corner of Harvey and Stebbins, in Muskegon.
Topics Covered: Developing Safe Work Habits and Attitudes, Basic Healthcare Skills, Basic Computer Skills used in Healthcare, HIPPA Certification.
