Course Overview

The Aviation Engineering Technology program prepares students with the hands-on skills needed to work on aircraft systems, focusing on both airframe and power plant mechanics. Students learn how to perform structural repairs, tear down and rebuild engines, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. They also develop proficiency in using precision measuring tools. Alongside technical training, students gain a deeper understanding of the aviation industry and explore a variety of career paths within the field.

College Credit

Students who successfully complete this course may receive FAA training hours toward a federal mechanics credential.
