At the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District, nothing matters more than the safety and security of our students and staff. We are deeply committed to doing everything in our power to protect every person across all of our buildings, programs, and departments. We understand that students thrive when they feel safe, and we take that responsibility seriously each and every day.

Firearms Safety and Storage
The Muskegon Area Intermediate School District, along with all schools and ISDs in Michigan, is required to share important information regarding Michigan's Safe Storage Laws. Taking simple steps to store firearms safely helps keep everyone safe and reduces firearm-related injuries.
Michigan law requires that where minors may be present, firearms must be stored in a locked box or container, and/or unloaded and secured with a locking device. Failing to follow these requirements may result in criminal charges and penalties if a minor gains access to a firearm.
